William Briggs is an international relations theorist with a special focus on political economy and in Marxist political theory.
He has been a political activist for decades and has worked, variously as a teacher, journalist, both in Australia and for three years in Moscow.
He has been a regular contributor to a range of journals and left-wing media. Later in life he completed a PhD that defended classical Marxist theory. He lives in Geelong, a regional city in Australia.
