Dr. Spriha Mathur is a medical doctor by profession and a Creative writer by passion. She loves to write fantasy stories but shares an interest in a wide variety of themes such as mystery, suspense thrillers, adventure, spirituality and self-help.
Born in Lucknow, India and bought up in several cities and countries, her most consistent friends were stories. Her pursue for her medical degree led her to the paradise country of Mauritius. After settling down in her career, she finally joined a creative writing course by The British Council in New Delhi which motivated her to pursue writing poetry and short stories. Her dream to publish a novella - 'The Manila Envelope' came true when she won a writing competition in 2021.
Her poetry and short stories have been published in various anthologies too - The Union of Dreams, Inevitable thoughts, Unspoken, The Great Indian Anthology, Less is more, Tears of Joy etc.
She loves to spend her free time watching movies, travelling, sketching, painting and exploring new ideas and skills.
Ipshita, a 29-year-old doctor, finds herself handling the case of a cancer patient, Rakesh Tripathi.
With time, she finds in him a father and friend. As he inches closer to his death, he asks Ipshita for a huge favour. A day later, Rakesh dies, leaving an unopened Manila Envelope behind for Ipshita.
