Pavittra Kalyaan is a writer from Bengaluru, India. She wrote her first book, Little Witch, when she was ten years old. Her second novel, On the Trail, was written when she was in the tenth grade and transformed a boring school trip into something spooky.

The Broken Shadow, a young adult mystery, is her first published work, written eleven years after her second. She is currently working on the second novel of the series.
