Dr. Keerthi Pai holds an MPhil in Student Counseling from JBAS College, a second MPhil in Clinical Psychology from Kasturba Medical College Manipal, and a PhD from Madras University. As a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Apollo Hospitals, a Mental Health Advisor at Apollo Shine Foundation, and a Partner at Element H Psychological Support Services, she has established herself as a prominent figure in the field.
In addition to her role as a guest faculty member at the Institute of Mental Health, Chennai, Dr. Pai serves as the joint secretary of TNACP and is a founder member and Joint Secretary of the Clinical Psychology Society of India. Her diverse expertise extends to marine psychology, having received training in Denmark in 2011, where she contributes to psychological assessment and therapy for seafarers in South East Asia.
Certified as a Clinical Supervisor by ACA Australia, Dr. Pai has specialized training in grief therapy under David Kessler, a renowned expert who collaborated with Elizabeth Kubler Ross. She conducts webinars on grief therapy for mental health professionals and provides individual grief therapy. She also consults adolescents with giftedness, conducting assessments for IQ and emotional and social skills.
Proficient in various psychological therapies, including CBT, DBT, SFBT, Trauma-focused therapy, and IFS, Dr. Pai also conducts support group therapy sessions for individuals diagnosed with Cluster B Personality Disorder. Additionally, she actively engages in parenting programs for schools such as Akshar Arbol International School, Chennai, and RAKS Pallikoodam, Coimbatore, focusing on emotional dysregulation and relational issues in adolescents.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Keerthi Pai has published 10 research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her contributions extend beyond academic realms, with regular columns in newspapers like TOI and on social media platforms such as Medium. Notably, her Facebook live video on Women's mental health in March 2022 garnered 1 million views. Recognizing her impactful work, she was honored in October 2022 as one of the Top 100 influential Indians.
